Welcome to the Congregational Church of Wells! It is here you will find God at work in so many ways and in so many people; in the many ministries that provide love, care, and fellowship for our neighbors and throughout the world, in our church school and programs for all ages and especially in our worship each Sunday morning at 9:30am. Come to be lifted by our music and fellowship, come to be strengthened in your faith, come to give thanks and praise, and come to pray and be in God’s care.
You will find us to be a friendly and welcoming church. We are easy to find on U.S. Route 1 . Our members are drawn from Wells, Ogunquit, the Kennebunks, the Berwicks, Sanford and York. Services are at 9:30 a.m. We generally follow the Revised Common Lectionary for our Scriptures and the Sermon is based upon the readings of the day.
We encourage families to attend worship with their children of all ages! Each week, Rev. Hughes shares a special "Time for the Child in All of Us" message and each month includes a children's hymn sing-a-long! Activity bags are available at the back of the church and there is also a Family Room with access to the worship service via audio.
We follow the Congregational Way, which simply means that we as a congregation are in charge of our own affairs. We own our church property, we select our pastors by ourselves, and we establish our own budgets. Our church is governed under our by-laws through our boards and committees.

Prospective members are invited to join our “Meet & Greet” gatherings where members of the Diaconate are available to answer questions and provide additional information about the church. New Member Receptions are held during worship, followed by a special “Pineapple Welcome” during Coffee Hour.
